SEAYL is a youth group that was formed in the wake of the tragic murder of Chan Boonkeut in Oct. 2003. A group of concerned youth wanted to address the growing violence in Richmond and came form SEAYL. Our mission is to have a calm and safe community and to keep youth off the streets, betterment of the Southeast Asian community: Developing leadership, academic, and job skills, learning about and sharing Southeast Asian culture, being involved in the community and promoting youth voice.
